SEMH Education Support Worker

to join a schools growing team in Nailsea. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a rewarding role supporting students with behavioural, emotional, and social needs.

About the Role:

As a

SEMH Education Support Worker

, you'll work closely with pupils, teachers, and other support staff to help create a positive, inclusive, and productive learning environment. Your role will involve:

Providing one-to-one and small group support for students with Social Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties Assisting with behaviour management strategies to support students' engagement in learning. Supporting pupils' emotional wellbeing and social development. Working collaboratively with teaching staff and external agencies to ensure consistent and effective support. Maintaining accurate records and contributing to individual behaviour plans.
What We're Looking For:

Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with behavioural or special educational needs (SEN). A calm, patient, and empathetic approach. Strong communication and teamwork skills. The ability to remain professional and positive in challenging situations. Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ in Childcare/Education, Team Teach training) are desirable but not essential.
