SEMH Teaching Assistant

Career Teachers are currently looking for a SEMH Teaching Assistant for a school in the Barnet Area. This school supports Secondary Age Students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. The school provides excellent facilities for the students and has a strong ethos of supporting both the students\' academic and emotional progress. The staff are welcoming, with a supportive Senior Leadership Team, and have a strong understanding of supporting staff wellbeing. This role is a full time position and requires an immediate start.

For this role of a SEMH Teaching Assistant:

• Experience of working or interacting with SEMH children is desirable
• Have previous employed or voluntary work experience within a school setting is desirable
• Be supportive, patient, nurturing, empathetic and friendly
• Display clear and strong communication skills
• Be keen to support both the students\' emotional and academic progress
• Have Grade C or above in GCSE English and Maths
• Have an Enhanced DBS on the DBS Update Service
• Provide 2 references from within the past 3 years
