SEMH Teaching Assistant // Exeter //Full-time - Permanent // \xc2\xa380-90 a day // To start ASAP

GSL Education are looking for a SEMH Teaching assistant to help provide the very best educational experience so all our students can reach their full potential as they become responsible and proactive members of the community.

Our client school specialises in supporting students with social, emotional and mental health difficulties and currently caters pupils who find it difficult to be successful within mainstream schools.

The role requires;

• The commitment to treat every child as an individual and recognize the potential of each and every pupil to help them overcome barriers and allow them to flourish both personally and academically.
• Various behaviour management techniques to rely upon as well as a solid understanding of resources and schemes of work to use.
• An imaginative and forward-thinking approach and drive to create memorable experiences and safe spaces both in and out of classroom settings.
• Supporting the Class Teacher in all areas of the day-to-day running of the class
• Providing learning support for pupils in both group and 1:1 settings

You must;

• Have the right to work in the UK
• Have a full, clean UK Driving License
• Meet GSL\'s safer recruitment background checks
• Have a Child Enhanced DBS certificate or be willing to apply for one
• Be committed to safeguarding
• Be adaptable, enthusiastic and enjoy working with young people of all backgrounds
