Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Semi Senior Accountant / Auditor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial accounting and auditing, with the ability to mentor junior staff and contribute to the overall financial management of the organisation. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software and a keen eye for detail to ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive audits of financial statements and records to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Evaluate internal controls and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address audit issues and implement solutions. Mentor and guide junior auditors in their professional development, fostering a culture of continuous learning. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in financial services. Utilise accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero. Assist in accounts compilation assignments as needed.

Skills

Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in accounting software, including QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for identifying discrepancies. Strong communication skills for presenting findings clearly to stakeholders. Ability to mentor and develop junior staff effectively. A proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on continuous improvement.
