Job Description

Broadbent Accountants LLP is looking for a capable and motivated

Semi Senior Accountant

to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with strong practice experience who enjoys managing client relationships and taking ownership of a portfolio of limited company clients.

You will be responsible for the preparation of year-end accounts, corporation tax returns, and ongoing client management, working closely with managers and partners while supporting junior team members where appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

Managing a portfolio of

limited company clients

on a regular basis Preparation of

year-end statutory accounts

Preparation and submission of

corporation tax returns

Conducting

client meetings

and acting as a key point of contact Reviewing bookkeeping records and resolving client queries Advising clients on day-to-day accounting and compliance matters Working extensively with

cloud accounting software

Liaising with HMRC and other third parties as required Assisting with the development and mentoring of junior staff
Skills & Experience Required

Minimum of 4 years' experience

working in an accountancy practice

AAT qualified

(or equivalent) - ideal Strong experience managing a

portfolio of limited company clients

Confident preparing accounts and tax returns with minimal supervision Good working knowledge of

cloud accounting platforms

(e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) Excellent communication and client-facing skills Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
Desirable Skills

Experience working in a paperless / cloud-based environment Progression towards ACCA (or interest in further qualification support) Previous experience mentoring junior staff
