Semi-Skilled HGV Technician

Hours:

45 hours per week | between 08:00 and 17:00 Monday to Friday






Are you passionate about vehicle maintenance and repair? Join our team as a

Semi-Skilled HGV Technician,

where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our fleet is in top condition. You'll work on chassis and mounted equipment, assist in preparing vehicles for MOT inspections, and carry out body and chassis repairs to high standards.


Key Responsibilities:




Perform servicing and repairs on HGVs with guidance from skilled engineers. Ensure all work meets VOSA standards. Assist in preparing vehicles for MOT inspections. Conduct brake and road testing of vehicles. Complete all relevant paperwork and enter information into computer systems. Maintain good housekeeping practices in workshops and customer premises. Undertake health and safety training to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:




Previous experience in vehicle maintenance and repair. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. General computer literacy and administrative skills. Strong problem-solving abilities. Excellent customer service skills. Willingness to travel throughout the UK and attend training courses.

Additional Information:




Overtime and weekend work may be required. Occasional heavy lifting and ability to enter/exit vehicle bodies and hoppers.
