Hourly Rate: : 15.32 per hour + opportunity to earn overtime and additional hourly merit rate between 0.25 - 4.38 (Once passed probation)

Role based: Portakabin Ltd, Peterborough, PE4 5ET

Contract type: Permanent

Working hours: 39 Hours, Monday to Friday

We are seeking a

Semi Skilled Operative

to join our team in based in Peterborough.

These roles will play a critical part in ensuring products are manufactured and delivered to our customers safely, on time and to our high quality standards. Working as part of a team, you will be responsible for carrying out all tasks necessary to meet our customer requirements, following established procedures and instructions and applying practical experience.

As a Semi Skilled Operative, you will:

oPerform work in accordance with established quality standards, technical specifications, service requirements and Health and Safety regulations.

oPlan and execute assigned tasks in accordance with technical specifications, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Risk Assessments and Method Statements, while maintaining a safe, organised and clean working environment.

oWork towards achieving manufacturing targets by identifying faults, implementing solutions where possible, or escalating issues as necessary.

Take responsibility for individual and others health and safety, ensuring health and safety policies are adhered and near miss and hazards are reported when witnessed.
oAssist and support team in providing a customer focused and efficient service.

Our ideal candidate

We are looking for someone who has:

oPractical skills developed through technical training combined with supervised hands-on application.

oKnowledge of manufacturing operations and machinery acquired through experience training.

oExperience working in a similar role, ideally within a Manufacturing environment.

oAbility to read and interpret technical documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Risk Assessments, and Method Statements.
