Job Summary
We are seeking a semi skilled Roofer or year 3 apprentice to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing and construction, with the ability to work effectively with various materials and tools. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on residential buildings. A commitment to safety and quality workmanship is essential.
Duties
Install roofing systems using a variety of materials including slates, tiles, and felt. Repair and replace damaged roofs to ensure structural integrity. Utilise power tools and hand tools effectively. Conduct heavy lifting as required for transporting materials and equipment. Collaborate with other tradespeople. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
Qualifications
Proven experience in roofing or a related field is preferred. Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools specific to roofing tasks. Ability to read and interpret schematics accurately. Physical stamina for heavy lifting and working at heights. Strong work ethic with attention to detail and quality craftsmanship. Willingness to learn new skills and techniques as required.
