Overview

We are seeking a reliable and professional Semi Skilled Technician/ Recovery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for carrying out basic commercial vehicle repairs and recovering vehicles as and when required.

Duties

Respond to roadside breakdowns and carry out vehicle recoveries Assist with basic HGV mechanical repairs and diagnostics Operate recovery vehicles and equipment safely and efficiently Participate in an on-call rota to provide out-of-hours support Maintain accurate records of recoveries and service tasks Ensure compliance with health & safety and company procedures

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving Strong driving skills with a valid HGV Class 2 driver's licence and a clean driving record Be able to pass Police Vetting checks Mechanical knowledge to identify basic vehicle issues and perform minor repairs or maintenance Experience with flatbed transportation is desirable Be willing to work on call on a rota basis Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with customers and colleagues Ability to operate various types of vehicles safely under different conditions Knowledge of road regulations and safety standards applicable to commercial drivers
