Role Overview:
We are seeking a
confident and creative SEN Sports Coach
to lead group sessions and deliver one-to-one sports sessions for children with a variety of needs.
This is not just a coaching role - you'll be part of a supportive network, shaping session plans, contributing to events, and growing with our team.
We are
only
looking for applicants who:
Have
a minimum of 1 year's experience
working directly with children with Special Educational Needs (non-negotiable).
Are passionate about making a genuine impact, not just looking for a pay check.
Are reliable, consistent, and committed to helping our children and families thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver
engaging sports sessions
tailored to the needs of each child or group.
Lead sessions confidently, ensuring every child feels safe, included, and supported.
Work closely with families and our team to track progress and adapt sessions where needed.
Contribute to
community events
, special programmes, and the ongoing development of SEN Sports LTD.
Maintain a
professional and positive image
, representing our values at all times.
Be proactive, solution-focused, and ready to
think on your feet
when challenges arise.
What We're Looking For:
Essential:
Minimum
1 year of experience
working with SEN children (e.g., autism, ADHD, developmental delays, etc.).
Enhanced DBS check
Strong leadership skills with the confidence to
take charge of sessions
.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Creative, adaptable, and able to
improvise when needed
.
Passion for sports, physical education, and child development.
Reliable, consistent, and committed to weekend availability.
Team player who contributes to the
growth and vision
of SEN Sports Club.
Desirable Skills/Qualifications:
Sports coaching qualifications or relevant certifications (e.g., Level 2 Coaching, PE, SEN training).
Experience working in both group and one-to-one settings.
First Aid and Safeguarding certifications (or willingness to obtain).

Hours & Pay:
