Job Overview


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Associate to join our team. This role involves providing specialised assistance and care to children and individuals with disabilities, including those with autism. The successful candidate will work closely with clients to promote development, independence, and well-being within a supportive environment. Duties



Assist children and individuals with autism or disabilities in daily activities, fostering independence and social skills Support behavioural and educational programmes tailored to individual needs Engage in teaching activities aimed at developing communication, socialisation, and life skills Provide toddler care, ensuring safety, comfort, and engagement during activities Collaborate with families, educators, and healthcare professionals to implement care plans Maintain a safe, clean, and organised environment conducive to learning and development Document progress and communicate effectively with team members regarding client needs and achievements

Skills



Experience working with children, particularly in educational or care settings Knowledge of working with people with autism or disabilities is highly desirable Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members Ability to teach and support behavioural development through patience and understanding Experience with toddler care is advantageous Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in supporting individuals' growth and well-being Organised approach to managing multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail Must be qualified to level 2 or 3 in childcare
This role is ideal for individuals passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and people with special needs. The position offers valuable experience in special education, behavioural support, and child development within a supportive team environment.

This position is term time only

Hours will be between 9 and 12 Monday to Friday

Job Types: Temporary, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 24 weeks

Pay: 12.21-13.21 per hour

Expected hours: 12 per week

Work Location: In person
