Job Summary


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Associate to assist an individual with special needs, including those with autism and disabilities. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing personalised support, fostering development, and promoting independence. This position offers an enriching opportunity to work closely with children and adults in a caring environment, contributing positively to their daily lives. The role requires excellent communication skills, patience, and a genuine desire to make a difference.

Responsibilities



Encourage interactions with other children and participating in all activities on offer.

To include, assist and support a child with SEND including supporting their language, physical and social skills and ensuring their needs are met.

Support them in accessing the daily routine and curriculum, ensuring they are fully included.

Supporting positive behaviour

Follow their Surrey Support Plan targets, taking observations and keeping a daily record.

Inform SENCO of their daily achievements and progress.

Attend meetings with parents and professionals as required.

To fully comply with Job description and policies of the setting.

Experience



Prior experience working with children or adults with special educational needs is desirable but nor necessary Knowledge of teaching strategies tailored for individuals with learning differences or developmental delays is advantageous Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships are essential Previous experience in special education or related fields will be highly valued

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.21 per hour
