Job Summary


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to support teachers in delivering high-quality education to students, particularly those with special needs. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, especially those with autism and other disabilities. This role involves fostering an inclusive learning environment, assisting with lesson plans, and providing individual support to enhance the educational experience for all students.

Responsibilities



Assist teachers in the preparation and delivery of lessons tailored to the needs of students with disabilities. Provide one-on-one support to students, particularly those with autism, ensuring they engage fully in classroom activities. Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment. Support children during playtime and other activities, ensuring their safety and well-being. Collaborate with educators to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students requiring special education services. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to foster a supportive educational community. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills related to special education and child development.

Requirements



Previous experience working with children, particularly those with disabilities or special educational needs. Need to have Level 2 or Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students and colleagues. Knowledge of teaching strategies that benefit children with autism and other developmental challenges is highly desirable. A passion for education and a commitment to fostering an inclusive environment for all learners. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being able to take initiative when required. Job Types: Part-time, Temp to perm, Freelance, Zero hours contract

Pay: 102.00-115.00 per day
