Welcome to Lynwood.

We are looking for a passionate SEN teaching assistant to join our family orientated and fun team at Lynwood Day Nursery. We are nestled in the lovely Newbarns Village in Barrow, are privately owned and very compassionate about our children and our staff.
If you want to play a pivotal role in educating the next generation in an award winning, sustainable day nursery... join our family today!

This is an excellent opportunity for anybody who has a passion for the SEN role and to build their experience working in day nursery which is much more homely than a school environment.
Some experience working with SEN children is preferred as our SEN children who only deserve the best.

Your role is a 1 to 1 SEN support role for some of our SEN children who need 1 to 1 interventions. This can be a part time or full-time position so Monday to Friday, minimum of 20 hours up to 36 hours, primarily term time only, between the hours 7.30 am - 5.00 pm. About You

We are looking for someone that has a warm, smiling face that makes every child feel special. Support our ethos in providing a brighter, more sustainable future for all our children. Ideally you should able to read stories upside down, with at least 10 interruptions per page. Must be willing to provide a stimulating early year's education as well as this is the framework we are working within. Your role is to support the next generation to learn and develop... whilst having lots of fun! You will preferably have a little quirkiness - If a child request that you be an astronaut navigating a rocket ship full of dinosaurs through out of space with Peppa Pig on your back, then you will be the best astronaut you can be! But at least these are the things which will make you smile after work. You must be prepared to have a lot of fun in the workplace. Laughter is something you can expect to engage in for a large part of your working days. Must not be afraid to dance in the rain, make mud pies, build sandcastles in the snow and explore the local environment. Possessing the skills required to rapidly count the heads of numerous moving small people is of the utmost importance. Nose-wiping skills desired Finally, you must be prepared to feel loved, special and important to many young children and their families. There is no better feeling than watching that tiny 3-month-old baby grow in to a well-educated pre-schooler preparing for big school!
