Sen Teaching Assistant

Camden Town, North West London, United Kingdom

Job Description

Would you like to be part of a work family where every day will be different? Could you use your nurturing, caring and positive attributes to benefit children and young people who have special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? If this sounds like you, then this vacancy could be what you are looking for.
This role is open to individuals who want to start a career in SEND or continue to develop their career journey with a hugely respected provision. Training and self-development are an essential part of the school's vision and their focus on staff wellbeing is a priority. Perhaps you are just starting out, returning to work, or having a change of career.
Smaller class sizes, a bespoke curriculum and state of the art facilities, brings with it the added benefits of working in a welcoming environment where individuals with learning challenges can thrive.
Your role will be to support children and young people in gaining independence with their education, at home and in their wider community. Sometimes, behaviours may be challenging, but with training and mentor guidance, you will be able to understand and manage situations competently and confidently.
It's the perfect stepping stone to gaining school based experience before looking at teacher training, educational psychology, occupational therapy, speech and language - there are so many avenues you can take in SEND and it is a career for life.
This is an opportunity to bring your own personality and character to work, where you can really make a difference, gain qualifications along the way, and develop a lasting career in a rewarding sector where your input makes a huge difference to others.
Hours are generally 08.30-15.30 Monday to Friday (term time only), but part time hours are also available.
Unfortunately, we can't offer sponsorship so please only apply if you are eligible to live and work in the UK.
