Working Hours: 08:30 - 15:30 (Monday to Friday, Term-Time Only)
Immediate Start
A specialist Autism Resource Provision (ARP) based in Dagenham is looking for a
dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant
to join their team, supporting autistic pupils in a structured and nurturing environment. This full-time position offers an immediate start.Key Responsibilities:
Support pupils with autism across learning, behaviour, and daily routines Implement visual strategies such as PECS and visual timetables Provide consistent emotional and behavioural support Assist with intimate care, including toileting and personal hygiene Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and wider school staff
Requirements:
Experience working with SEN children (essential) Experience in a school or educational setting (essential) Confidence using visual communication supports Willingness to support pupils with intimate care needs Calm, patient, and resilient approach to behaviour management
