Job Description
We are a happy and inclusive school seeking to appoint a hardworking, kind and enthusiastic person who enjoys working with children to join our dedicated classroom support team.
You will be working alongside the class teacher in our Resourced Provision classes supporting children with severe learning difficulties who have complex learning and medical needs. The role involves working closely with the teaching team and outside agencies to provide flexible, inclusive learning for our children.
The successful candidates will:
Have minimum NVQ level 2 in Childcare & Education
Have good communications skills
Have good literacy and numeracy skills
Be enthusiastic, self-motivated, creative and able to use their initiative.
Have an understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding
Have a good understanding of attachment and trauma
Be caring, understanding and patient
Have high expectations of our pupils and what they can achieve
Have an ability to keep pupils motivated and engaged
Be able to support the physical & personal care needs of our pupils
Contribute to observations and assessments of pupils
Have good behaviour management skills
Be a good team player
