Best Futures Independent Specialist SEMH School is registered for pupils within the age range of 5-11 years, located in N E Lincolnshire.
We are looking for an experienced SEN TA who is passionate about making a difference with a fundamental belief in equality of opportunity.
The applicant will need to have experience working with SEN children, be confident to support a small group of pupils or one to one if required.
Teaching Assistant qualification

Minimum of 2 satisfactory and recent references

Ideal candidate will have:
Good knowledge of supporting primary aged pupils with curriculum and enrichment programs
Understand how social, emotional, speech and language needs impacts on achievement
Demonstrate excellent organisational and communication skills
Support the delivery of Best Futures School provision and aims through enrichment based curriculum.
To work with pupils and staff to ensure that classroom delivery fully supports and enables pupils with complex needs to overcome barriers through:
Raising aspirations
Increasing confidence
Development of speech and communication skills
Developing a positive attitude towards learning
Promote wellbeing
Work within the framework of the current School policies.
Key Tasks
Safeguard the welfare of pupils in line with the schools' safeguarding protocols, in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education, Working Together to Safeguard Children and The Threshold of Needs framework
Safeguard the welfare of pupils and staff by adhering to Best Futures Health and Safety Policies and Procedures, risk assessments and reporting of health and Safety risk factors to the Site Manager
Support the Lead Teacher and small groups of pupils or one to one when required with support from the Lead Teacher.
Assist with classroom instruction and provide support and guidance to pupils.
Work closely with teachers to identify issues pupils are having and develop appropriate solutions
Maintain a supportive, safe and clean classroom environment
Supervise pupils during non-classroom time and arrange recreational activities
Attend teacher meetings and training sessions, as well as parent-teacher meetings.
Developing and engaging children and families, enabling development of emotional and social skills/awareness.
Assisting the assessment of pupils needs and contributing to intervention plans in line with pupil support plans.
Maintain professional records in relation to individual needs
Provide support with personal care needs, including toileting and intimate care, in a manner that upholds the dignity, privacy, and wellbeing of pupils in accordance with school policies and safeguarding procedures.
Undertake such other duties as may be reasonably expected and or requested at this level
Monitor the implementation of the Best Futures positive management of behaviour policy including, administration of rewards and sanctions
Recording of incidents and accidents
Provide appropriate support for visitors and implement visitors' policy and safeguarding protocols alongside the safeguarding team
Drive school transport and support pupils to engage with enrichment activities
The TA position requires a full clean driving licence
