We are currently seeking compassionate, reliable, and experienced
SEN Teaching Assistants
to support children with special educational needs across
primary and secondary schools in East London
.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to pupils with a range of needs, including autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, social, emotional and mental health (SEMH), and physical disabilities.
Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils with SEN
Assist the class teacher in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
Adapt learning activities to meet students' individual needs
Help manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
Support with personal care where necessary
Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
Liaise with SENCOs, parents, and external professionals when required

Requirements:
Experience working with children with SEN (school, care, or youth work experience accepted)
A patient, caring, and adaptable attitude
Good communication and teamwork skills
A valid
Enhanced DBS
(or willingness to apply)
Right to work in the UK
Preferred:
Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
Knowledge of SEND strategies or specialist training (e.g., PECS, Makaton, Team Teach)
