The Role:
As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you'll play a key role in supporting children's early development and communication skills. You'll be working across EYFS (and some KS1), carrying out speech and language interventions, helping children build independence, and encouraging their confidence both inside and outside the classroom.
Your day-to-day will include:
Delivering 1:1 sessions and small group interventions (training provided)
Supporting assessments and helping to tailor learning to individual needs
Collaborating closely with parents, teachers, and early years practitioners
Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting emotional wellbeing
Helping children with SEN flourish in a nurturing and inclusive environment
Experience as a Learning Support Assistant / Teaching Assistant, ideally with SEN
Strong knowledge of EYFS and early childhood development
Confidence in delivering interventions (or willingness to train)
Excellent spoken and written English with clear pronunciation
Organised, reliable, and IT-literate (to record and track progress)
A team player with patience, empathy, and resilience
Based locally or able to commute reliably to Winchmore Hill
