An experienced SEN Teaching Assistant is required to join our team. He or she will share our vision for high-quality and creative provision to develop our students' full potential. The successful applicant will work with the class teacher to provide a nurturing, safe and well-disciplined learning environment, supporting children to acquire a wide range of knowledge, skills and abilities.
He or she will need a calm disposition, an intuitive understanding of working with higher functioning young people with SEND and an enthusiasm to develop their own and students' skills and abilities. Competence in spoken and written English is required in order to support children who have specific learning needs or communication difficulties.
We welcome applications from individuals whose expertise have developed within SEN in a school setting. Applications are also welcome from those who can offer additional expertise or skills, such as PGCE or graduate English, ICT, PSHE (humanities).
