Are you a compassionate and resilient individual with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs? A supportive and inclusive primary school in Mansfield is looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September.

The Role:

This is a full-time role working closely with pupils who require additional support due to a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges. You will work alongside class teachers and the SENCO to provide targeted, one-to-one and small-group support, helping pupils to access learning and achieve their potential.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored support to pupils with SEN, both in and out of the classroom Assist in the implementation of EHCPs and behaviour support plans Foster a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment Monitor progress and report regularly to teaching staff and SENCO Support the development of pupils' social and emotional skills

Requirements:

Experience supporting children with SEN, ideally in a school setting A positive, patient and empathetic approach Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team A good understanding of safeguarding and behaviour management A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE) is desirable but not essential
