Are you a comA primary school in the

Mansfield

area is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs from September. This full-time role involves working closely with pupils who require additional support to access the curriculum and develop key skills.

About the Role:

The position involves working with children with a variety of needs including autism, ADHD, speech and language delays, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges. You'll be working under the direction of class teachers and the SENCO to provide focused support on a one-to-one and small group basis.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver support strategies tailored to the needs of individual pupils Help implement EHCP targets and behaviour support plans Maintain a structured and calm classroom environment Provide regular updates to teaching staff and the SENCO Encourage the development of pupils' confidence and social interaction

Candidate Profile:

Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN, ideally in a primary school Patient and consistent approach to working with children Able to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and support staff Awareness of safeguarding protocols and behaviour management strategies A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 TA, CACHE) is helpful but not essential
