15-18 hrs per week, 39 weeks a year

We are seeking a talented and committed

SEN

Teaching Assistant

to join our dedicated team.

Position Details



This role will support children with SEN throughout the school on a one to one and small group basis This is a

fixed-term contract until 31 August 202

. Continued employment beyond this date may be considered based on the needs of the school. Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK and will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check.

Role Responsibilities



To work alongside the SENCO by developing, leading and delivering key learning to children Delivery bespoke interventions Provide appropriate learning activities using toolkits Provide feedback to teachers Know and understand relevant EHCP's (Educational health and care plans) specific to the children you are working with and implement accordingly. Promote positive relationships with families and outside agencies Be a keyworker and build strong relationships with the children Supervise children throughout the day, including playtimes and lunchtimes.

The successful candidate will:



Have experience of working with pupils in an educational setting, preferable a primary school Have experience of working with SEN children Be resilient, cheerful, patient, and flexible. Have a strong understanding of safeguarding procedures. Be prepared to work across the school, providing one-on-one or group support to pupils who require additional help with the education and behaviour. Be able to deliver targeted interventions to individuals or groups of pupils. Participate in school activities and initiatives to ensure pupils receive the highest quality of education. Hold a minimum of Grade C in English and Maths GCSE or an equivalent qualification. Knowledge of Read Write Inc. would be beneficial.
