Sen Teaching Assistant
Job Description
We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and highly skilled Teaching Assistant to join our team working with our higher needs children. We are looking for someone with previous experience of working in a school setting with children with severe and complex needs.
This is a busy, friendly, well-resourced school. We have a hardworking, dedicated staff who work closely as a team for the benefit of all children. The school provides good quality professional development encouraging its staff to develop a wide range of skills.
You will work closely with class teachers and other support staff. You need to be flexible, adaptable, enjoy working with children with additional needs and be passionate about holistic learning. You may need to support pupils with intimate care and those with challenging behaviour. Experience of children with autism, communication boards/widgets and positive handling desirable.

33.75 hours per week (8:30am - 3:45pm), 38 weeks per year - term time only

The successful applicant will be expected to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure DBS check. The Governors take child protection extremely seriously and all references offered will be followed. This post is subject to a successful probationary period.
