An exceptional opportunity has arisen to join a leading, award-winning Special Educational Needs (SEN) school group, renowned for its commitment to delivering outstanding education and support to children with a range of complex needs.
Due to continued growth, this specialist school in Norfolk is seeking passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join its highly skilled and nurturing team.
Working alongside experienced teachers and therapists, successful candidates will play a vital role in supporting pupils aged between 5-19 with a variety of needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils in both 1:1 and group settings
  • Assisting with the implementation of EHCPs and personalised learning plans
  • Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Supporting communication, sensory, and physical needs
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (in school, care, or similar settings)
  • A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach
  • Excellent communication and teamworking skills
  • Willingness to support personal care where required
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Desirable:
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ, or similar)
  • Knowledge of therapeutic approaches such as TEACCH, PECS, or Makaton

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
