We are seeking to appoint a hard working and dedicated teaching assistant to work at Fosse Way School, a school for children aged 4-19, who have an Education, Health and Care plan.
As a teaching assistant at our school, the role is incredibly varied. The post holder's responsibilities will include supporting our more complex students at lunch time. This will include supporting with feeding, toileting and medication alongside meeting of students' emotional, social and physical needs.
Applicants will need to be confident, resilient and have excellent communication skills.
We are a hard-working and enthusiastic team who enjoy the challenges and opportunities of working within a school environment.
Previous experience of working in a special school is an advantage, although training will be provided. The position will be an excellent opportunity for colleagues looking for a new challenge. Applicants from specialist or mainstream settings are encouraged.
