About the Role:
We're working with a specialist SEN school in Redruth that supports children and young people with a range of additional needs, including autism, communication difficulties, and complex learning challenges. The school is looking for compassionate, proactive Teaching Assistants who can provide both classroom and 1:1 support.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting students with complex needs in a structured, nurturing environment Working closely with teachers and therapists to deliver tailored interventions Assisting with personal care and behaviour regulation, where needed Helping to create an inclusive space where every child can thrive Supporting learning through sensory play, structured activities, and alternative communication methods
What We're Looking For:
Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (school or care setting) Calm, resilient, and able to build strong, consistent relationships A real passion for helping young people reach their full potential Team player with a positive, flexible approach
Desirable but not essential:
Experience with autism, PMLD, or non-verbal communication Background in care, psychology, or youth work
