Are you a patient and reliable SEN Teaching Assistant looking to take the next step in your career? A welcoming and supportive primary school in Retford is looking to appoint a dedicated individual to work with pupils requiring additional learning and emotional support from September.

The Role:

This full-time role involves working alongside children with a variety of needs, including autism, communication difficulties, ADHD and social, emotional or mental health (SEMH) challenges. Support will be delivered both one-to-one and in small groups, in line with pupils' individual learning plans and wider classroom routines.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver targeted support tailored to the specific needs of individual pupils Contribute to the implementation of personalised plans, including EHCPs Promote positive behaviour and engagement within the classroom Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families Encourage pupils' independence, confidence and emotional development

Essential Criteria:

Experience supporting children with SEN, ideally in a primary school setting A calm, caring and adaptable approach to working with children Good understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice Strong communication and teamwork skills A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or SEN-specific training) is desirable
