We're looking for a dedicated
SEN Teaching Assistant
to join a nurturing and inclusive
special school in Crawley
, supporting pupils aged 5-16 with a range of needs including autism, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.

About the Role
As an SEN TA, you'll work closely with pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis, helping them access learning, regulate emotions, and build confidence. You'll be a key part of a multidisciplinary team, supporting both academic and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support to pupils with EHCPs and additional needs
Assist with classroom activities, sensory interventions, and therapeutic routines
Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff
Maintain accurate records and contribute to pupil progress reviews

About You
We're looking for someone who is:
Experienced in working with children or young people with SEND
Calm, patient, and emotionally intelligent
Confident in supporting behaviour and communication needs
Passionate about inclusion and pupil wellbeing
Committed to safeguarding and continuous learning
Bonus Skills:
Experience with autism, SEMH, or trauma-informed practice
Knowledge of Makaton, PECs, or sensory integration
Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, Team Teach, Mental Health First Aid)
