Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant - Specialist Secondary School (Tower Hamlets)

PMLD (profound and multiple learning difficulties)

ASD (autism spectrum disorder)

This is a

full-time role (Monday - Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm)

previous SEN experience

who are also comfortable with personal care responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

As a

Specialist SEN Teaching Assistant

in our

secondary school

, your daily duties will include:

Providing one-to-one and group support for students with

ASD

and

PMLD

. Assisting with personal care needs in a respectful and dignified manner. Supporting teachers in delivering engaging, tailored lessons to meet complex learning requirements. Using specialist strategies and resources to promote independence and communication. Helping to create a safe, supportive and stimulating learning environment. Supporting students with sensory and physical impairments throughout the school day. Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other

SEN Teaching Assistants

. Encouraging social, emotional, and academic development through structured activities. Maintaining accurate records of progress and assisting in the preparation of learning materials.
