A primary school in the

Worksop

area is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to provide support for pupils with additional needs starting this September. This is a full-time role that involves working closely with children who benefit from targeted classroom support.

The Role:

You'll be working one-to-one and in small groups with pupils who may have a range of needs, such as autism, ADHD, speech and language delays, or social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) difficulties. Working under the guidance of the SENCO and class teachers, your role will be to help pupils remain engaged, develop confidence, and make steady progress.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored support aligned with each pupil's individual needs Assist in the delivery of strategies outlined in EHCPs and intervention plans Contribute to maintaining a calm, structured classroom setting Liaise with teaching staff and families to ensure consistent support Help children develop key social and emotional skills alongside academic growth

What We're Looking For:

Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN, ideally in a primary setting A calm and practical approach when managing behaviour or emotional needs Strong communication and collaboration skills Awareness of safeguarding practices and inclusive support methods A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 TA or SEND training) is helpful but not required
