Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support our educators in providing a nurturing and effective learning environment for children, particularly those with special educational needs. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, especially those with autism, and will be skilled in communication and education techniques tailored to individual needs. This role is crucial in fostering an inclusive atmosphere where all children can thrive.

Responsibilities



Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities tailored to the needs of each child. Provide support to children with autism and other special educational needs, ensuring they are engaged and included in classroom activities. Communicate effectively with children, using appropriate language and techniques to facilitate understanding and learning. Help maintain a safe and organised classroom environment, ensuring that all materials are accessible and well-kept. Support the care of toddlers, including assisting with personal hygiene routines and meal times as necessary. Observe and report on children's progress, behaviour, and any concerns to the lead teacher or relevant staff members. Collaborate with other staff members to create an inclusive atmosphere that promotes the development of all students.

Qualifications



Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or special educational needs, is highly desirable. Knowledge of special education practices and strategies for educating children with diverse learning requirements. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with children of varying ages. A caring attitude towards children, demonstrating patience and empathy in all interactions. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being capable of taking initiative when required. Relevant qualifications in education or childcare would be an advantage but are not essential.

Pay: 98.00-105.00 per day
