Job title: SEN Teaching Assistants

Location: Bath

Pay rate: \xc2\xa380-\xc2\xa390 p/d

Start date: ASAP

End date: Ongoing

We are working with a SEN school in Bath who are currently seeking several Learning Support Assistants to work at both their Primary and Secondary sites. This school supports students aged 4 to 19 who have Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties. These positions are all General LSA roles supporting the Teacher with the entire class and will be starting ASAP and with no end date set. The school is a specialist provision catering for pupils with SEMH (EBD) and they require these Teaching Assistants to have experience of supporting children or young adults with challenging behaviour.

Highly Desirable:

Special Educational Needs Experience in a care or school setting

Understanding and experience of supporting/teaching young people with attachment disorder and challenging behaviour

Training in Learning Support.

As a Learning Support Assistant you will be expected:

To provide engaging and empathetic educational support to pupils

To assist the teacher by supporting the lessons

To have understanding/knowledge of special needs or a keen interest in helping vulnerable pupils

To aid learning and emotional well-being
