We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and adaptable
SEN Homeschool Tutor
to deliver personalised, one-to-one education to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in their own homes across
Warwickshire
. This role is ideal for a dedicated educator who thrives on making a direct impact in students' lives by tailoring learning approaches to meet diverse individual needs outside of a traditional classroom environment.
As a travelling tutor, you will work with learners who may present with a range of SEN profiles, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, dyslexia, speech and language difficulties, anxiety, or social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. Your goal will be to provide a safe, structured, and nurturing learning experience that supports each student's academic progress and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons to children with Moderate/Severe Learning Needs in-line with curriculum and EHCP guidelines.
Tailor lesson plans to meet the specific needs and learning styles of the student.
Provide academic support in core subjects such as Numeracy, Literacy and Communication.
Identify areas where students are struggling and provide targeted support to help them overcome challenges.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to students and parents regularly.
Create a positive, encouraging, high-energy learning environment that motivates students to succeed.
Collaborate with the tuition centre's management to ensure consistent teaching standards and follow the centre's curriculum guidelines.
Maintain records of student attendance, progress, and achievements.
Attend staff meetings and training sessions as needed.
Requirements:
Prior experience in teaching or tutoring children with moderate/severe learning needs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to differentiate teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles.
Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students achieve their academic goals.
Excellent organisational skills and time management.
Ability to inspire and motivate students to stay engaged and focused.
