Chaperon is hired by a Nursery near the City Centre of Birmingham to recruit SENCO and Level 3 or above Nursery Practitioner who can work as Room Leader and prepare SEN Plans. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in early childhood education and demonstrate a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for children. This role involves working closely with young learners, supporting their development through various educational activities, and ensuring their safety and well-being.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality care and education for children in a nursery setting.
Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning in areas such as speech therapy, mathematics, and physical education.
Support children's individual needs, including those with special educational requirements, through tailored teaching methods and behaviour management strategies.
Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social skills and emotional development.
Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and well-being.
Assist in mentoring less experienced staff members and provide guidance on best practices in childcare.
Ensure the nursery environment is safe, clean, and conducive to learning.
Conduct regular assessments of children's development and maintain accurate records of their progress.
Requirements
Level 3 or above qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
SENCO experience
Proven experience working with children in a nursery or educational setting.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
Knowledge of applied behaviour analysis techniques is advantageous.
Ability to manage behaviour effectively while promoting positive interactions among children.
Experience in tutoring or mentoring is desirable.
Familiarity with proofreading educational materials to ensure clarity and accuracy is beneficial.
