Most of our students are coming to us from mainstream education to have access to an adapted National Curriculum delivered in small classes with a focus on meeting their sensory needs and support for their emotional wellbeing. Just over half of our students are girls.

The Role
We are looking to recruit a specialist administrator to support our SENCO in providing high quality intervention, care and support to our students. The role requires someone with a high level of organisation to support in the timetabling and administration of annual reviews, personalised interventions for students and supporting in the effective communication of student need. We are a brand new provision, having opened in September 2025, and systems, processes and approaches continue to develop and grow. We are looking for someone who is happy to use their initiative and support in the growth of our school to build a resilient, effective system to support autistic young people now and in the future.
Key duties:
Work with the SENCO to set up, maintain and summarise student SEN files
Work with the SENCO to support in the administration of all EHCP and annual reviews, including effective communication with relevant local authorities to ensure we meet all deadlines and timescales
Supporting the SENCO to complete student Individual Education Plans, to clearly communicate student need, provision and targets to all stakeholders
Use online systems in school to maintain, update and improve student records, tracking and communicate effectively
Support in the timetabling and monitoring of student interventions, ensuring provision is in line with EHCP support, and maintaining records for the assess, plan, do, review process
Work with the wider therapy team to ensure that information is shared effectively, including supporting the SENCO to maintain the diary and ensure reports, outcomes and future plans are shared with all stakeholders in a timely manner
Work with students where appropriate, building positive relationships and ensuring their voice is captured to contribute to reviewing and developing IEPs and other SEN documentation
Support the SENCO, main admin and wider SLT in the transition process, ensuring student destinations and SEN files are shared when students leave
Support the exams lead in the administration and maintenance of access arrangement evidence, applications and JCQ applications, including building evidence of NWOW.
Please note that duties will vary and you will be expected to contribute to the overall aims of Vincent House School when required.
What You Need to Succeed
Successful candidate qualities:
A dedication to support vulnerable young people improve their life chances
Knowledge and understanding of autism and mental health challenges faced by young people
GCSE Maths and English qualification minimum Grade 4 or equivalent is essential.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Demonstrable experience of working in an administrative role, within SEN
Computer literacy - Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint and ability to use range of databases once trained.
Accurate typing, touch typing desirable.
Organised, good time management.
Ability to manage own time to deal with multiple tasks.
Ability to be discreet, confidential and reliable.
