Job Overview:
We are seeking a
Temporary SENDCo
to join our team from
3rd November 2025
on a part-time basis (3 days per week). This is a vital role, supporting our continued commitment to inclusive education and ensuring that all students with additional needs receive appropriate support and provision.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and oversee the provision for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in line with statutory requirements.
Liaise effectively with
Kent County Council (KCC)
, ensuring all communication and processes follow local authority guidance.
Ensure compliance with all relevant SEND legislation and school policies.
Contribute to and lead on
EHCP processes
, reviews, and assessments.
Manage appropriate
record-keeping and documentation
, including SEND registers and provision maps.
Where possible, support with
JCQ Access Arrangements
, ensuring students receive the appropriate accommodations for examinations and assessments.
Collaborate with teaching staff, parents/carers, and external agencies to support the needs of students.
Be available to work across both of our school campuses as required.
Candidate Requirements:
Proven experience working as a SENDCo or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge and working experience with
Kent County Council (KCC)
processes and systems.
Experience or understanding of
JCQ Access Arrangements
is highly desirable.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and/or NASENCO qualification preferred.
Must be
fully vetted
and compliant with safeguarding requirements prior to starting.
Additional Information:
This is a temporary, part-time position for
3 days per week

The role requires
travel between two school campuses
, so candidates must be able to commute accordingly.
