Dudley Council is seeking a dedicated Case Officer to join our Children's Services SEND Team, where you'll play a vital role in supporting pupils through the statutory assessment process and managing Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
What You'll Do
Manage casework from initial referral through to completion of statutory assessments.
Write and amend EHCPs, ensuring compliance with statutory timescales.
Liaise with families, schools, and multi-agency professionals to ensure pupils' needs are met.
Attend reviews and contribute to panel decisions on provision and placement.
Monitor educational outcomes and funding use for pupils with EHCPs.
Support service development and deliver training to schools and settings.
What We're Looking For
Experience in SEN casework or a related field.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with families, schools, and professionals.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Knowledge of statutory SEN processes and legislation.
