About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and caring

SEND Coach / Activity Lead

to help us deliver adapted sports, games, creative activities, and social experiences for children with a wide range of additional needs during our holiday programmes.

This is a hands-on, front-line role that involves working both 1:1 and in small group settings to ensure every child is safe, engaged, and supported.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver fun, inclusive activities tailored to the needs of children with SEND Provide individualised support, ensuring all children feel safe, welcomed, and included Use behaviour management techniques and communication tools (e.g., visual aids, sensory support) where appropriate Work closely with site managers, support staff, and parents/carers to meet individual care plans Ensure all safeguarding, health & safety, and equality policies are upheld at all times Contribute to a positive, high-energy team culture where every child can thrive
Essential Criteria

Experience working with children or young people with SEND (school, community, or care setting) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of inclusive practice and reasonable adjustments Confidence to lead or support a range of activities (e.g. multi-sports, games, arts & crafts) Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities
Desirable (but not essential)

Level 2 or 3 qualification in Youth Work, Teaching Assistant, Playwork, or SEND Support First Aid, Autism Awareness, or Makaton training Experience supporting children with autism, ADHD, sensory processing differences, or SEMH needs
