We are looking to appoint a passionate, creative and solution-focused individual to join our team of Early Years Advisers.
We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our specialist service supporting Foundation Stage children with SEND and complex medical needs. In this role, you will provide high-quality advice and guidance to early years settings, helping implement effective interventions and inclusive strategies. You will play a key role in building capacity within the early years sector by supporting settings to deliver strong universal provision and by working collaboratively with all our early years partners to improve outcomes for children across homes, preschools, and schools.
The SEND Early Years Service, part of the East Sussex Education Division, is a County-wide service and travel will depend on service need. The post advertised will be based at Eastbourne. You will be supported through a comprehensive induction programme, quality supervision, case discussion and peer support.
We are looking for candidates who
Are a qualified teacher (QTS or EYTS) with recent experience of children with a range of complex special educational needs, disabilities and/or medical needs across the age range 0-5 years.
Have secure knowledge and experience of the developmental levels and Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum, knowing how to fully include a child with SEND.
Have a sound understanding and current experience of SEND practice and legislation.

Interviews will take place in person at St Mary's House, Eastbourne, on Friday 10 October 2025. The interview will include answering questions related to the post, along with a short presentation that you will create prior to the interview and share with us on the day; there is also a short written task.
