Wakefield College - The post is based at our Wakefield site. However, the post holder will also be required to work flexibly across our Castleford and Selby sites, as and when required to do so, in attending meetings or to assist in providing cover for other colleagues.

As a SEND Officer you will, provide a professional, efficient, and excellent customer focused service to coordinate processes related to SEND and High Needs students. You will also communicate with external partners in all matters relating to SEND Students for the Group.
This role is primarily an administrative role, therefore this role is perfect for someone who is organised, proactive, and has experience of working in a fast-paced environment, as well as working hard to meet tight deadlines.
This is a very diverse role where you will be building relationships with curriculum and support staff, and many other stakeholders.
You will:
Lead Group administrative processes for a caseload of SEND students to ensure an outstanding student experience
Communicate effectively with external partners in all matters relating to SEND students
Process ALS/SEND/EHCP supporting documentation and data recording

You will have:
GCSE's A- C / 9 - 4 in English
and
Maths or equivalent L2 Qualification in SEND or be willing to work towards
A Level 3 qualification in an administration, customer service or business-related subject (or other relevant A Levels, NVQ, BTEC etc)
An IT qualification e.g CLAIT, ECDL or equivalent is desirable but not essential
