We are seeking a dedicated SEND Practitioner to join our team, supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering personalised care and educational support within a nurturing environment. Responsibilities
Plan and implement tailored educational programmes to meet individual children's needs, promoting their social, emotional, and developmental growth.
Provide high-quality childcare and support during daily activities, fostering a safe and inclusive environment.
Lead small groups or one-to-one sessions, demonstrating strong management and leadership skills.
Collaborate closely with parents, carers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistent support for each child's progress.
Maintain accurate records of children's development and behaviour, adhering to organisational policies.
Support children with behavioural challenges by applying positive behaviour management strategies.
Assist with daily routines such as mealtimes, playtime, and personal care, ensuring children's comfort and wellbeing.
Drive organisational initiatives related to early childhood education and inclusive practice.
Requirements
Experience working with children in childcare settings, nursery environments or early childhood education roles.
Knowledge of SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) frameworks and best practices.
Strong communication skills in English, capable of engaging effectively with children, families, and colleagues.
Demonstrated management and leadership abilities within childcare or educational settings.
Compassionate approach with a genuine interest in supporting children's development.
Childcare qualifications or relevant early childhood education credentials are preferred.
Valid driving licence is desirable for transportation duties associated with the role.
