Job Description
justteachers is currently seeking a nurturing and proactive SEND Support Worker to join a specialist provision in the Kirkby Lonsdale area. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of learners with a range of needs - including autism, moderate to severe learning difficulties, and sensory processing differences.
This full-time or part time role is due to start in November, with shortlisting currently taking place.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support to students, promoting engagement and emotional wellbeing Assist in delivering individualised learning plans and routines Support with personal care, mobility, and communication needs where required Use positive behaviour strategies and sensory approaches to help pupils regulate and focus
The Ideal Candidate:
Has experience working with children or young people with SEND in an educational or care setting Brings a patient, resilient and positive approach to supporting behaviour and communication Holds a relevant Level 2/3 TA or childcare qualification (desirable but not essential)
