We are seeking a dedicated SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering tailored instruction to students with diverse learning needs, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' educational journeys while working within a collaborative and dynamic school community. Prior university experience is preferred to ensure effective planning and delivery of specialized curriculum.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with SEND, in collaboration with support staff and families
Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the unique needs of each student
Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adjusting teaching strategies as needed
Foster an inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, independence, and confidence among students
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists, counselors, and other educators, to support student development
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and behavioral observations
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities to enhance teaching practices
Requirements
Relevant teaching qualification with certification in special education or SEND specialization preferred
University experience is highly desirable to support curriculum planning and instructional strategies
Strong understanding of inclusive education practices and SEND legislation
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment
