Advantage Education are working closely with a school in Bournouth that supports children with Autism and complex special educational needs (SEND). We are seeking dedicated, skilled, and compassionate Teaching Assistants to join our team and provide high-quality support to our students.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting students with Autism and other complex needs, including those with communication, sensory, social and emotional differences. Assisting with the delivery of individual learning plans and tailored interventions, including TEACCH strategies and other evidence-based approaches. Supporting the social, emotional, and regulation development of students within a structured and predictable environment. Assisting with personal care, daily routines, and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all students. Collaborating closely with teachers, therapists, and other staff to deliver consistent, high-quality provision.

Essential Skills and Qualities:

Experience supporting children with Autism and complex needs, ideally in an educational setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff. Patience, empathy, and a calm, consistent approach to managing challenging behaviour. Flexibility and resilience to respond to the dynamic needs of the students. Commitment to professional development and willingness to learn school-specific approaches and strategies.

Desirable:

Experience or training in TEACCH, PECS, or other structured teaching approaches. Knowledge of safeguarding and SEND legislation.

Pay: 13.68-14.00 per hour
