Support Educate and Nurture

We are looking for dedicated people who are passionate about working with young people with additional needs. The role is to start in a primary part of the school ASAP

We have a position in a class with pupils with additional needs. The role is to support the teacher deliver creative and dynamic lessons tailored to the pupil's developmental needs.

The class is a primary class with KS1 and KS2 pupils . Some pupils are non verbal and use alternative communication techniques such as Makaton and Picture communication. The role is to work as part of a team of TAs, much of the role is about positive team work. The class are active with activities and also outdoor play, messy play and sensory play.

Will be able to promote a safe and secure place for development and learning A passion for helping young people experience of behaviour de-escalation Must be a great team player TA qualification, Social care qualification or childcare is desirable
School hours are 8.45 - 3.30 - the position is long term, we are accepting applicants form full time and part time people as we can arrange job shares.

We will offer training and support in the position, everyone who works for us is required to complete Safeguarding Training. Safeguarding children is an integral part of what we do and we have a stringent safer recruitment process. we undertake checks on all the candidates we work with. As such we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in Schools. If you do not have a subscription to the DBS Update Service, you may be required to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process. If you take a temporary role with Sense Education you will be paid on a weekly basis.
