We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Eastbourne who are looking to appoint an experienced
SEN Teaching Assistant
to join their team on a long-term basis.
The role will involve supporting pupils with additional needs across KS1 and KS2, working both 1:1 and in small groups. The school has a strong SENCO presence and places a high value on consistency, structure and positive relationships.
This position would suit a Teaching Assistant who is patient, proactive, and confident supporting pupils with varying needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, and social-emotional needs.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing 1:1 and small-group SEN support
Supporting learning, engagement and emotional regulation
Implementing strategies set by the SENCO and class teacher
Encouraging independence and confidence
Promoting positive behaviour and inclusion
Requirements for the role:
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or SEN Support
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
Up-to-date safeguarding training
Pay:
89 per day
