The Roles
We are currently seeking
two Teaching Assistants
to provide one-to-one support for children with ASC in our primary school.
Working at Reception level when engaged, with an attention span of approx. 5 minutes.
Key Skills Required:
Ability to structure the morning with clear routines and short movement breaks.
Strong boundaries and behaviour management skills.
Knowledge of declarative language strategies (child is easily triggered by "no" and highly self-directed).
Role 2 - Year 3 Child
Profile:
ASC, new to the school (not yet met).
Learning Level:
Reported to be working at Year 2-3 level.
What We're Looking For
At least
two years' experience
working in primary schools with children with ASC.
Patient, proactive, and confident individuals who can adapt to complex needs.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
