About the Role
BrightHire Education are looking to appoint a caring, committed, and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with special educational needs and disabilities. You will work closely with class teachers and the SEND team to help pupils access learning, develop independence, and thrive in a safe and supportive environment.
This is a rewarding role for someone who is passionate about inclusion and making a positive difference to children's lives.
Key Responsibilities
Support pupils with a range of SEND, including [e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, SLD]
Provide 1:1 and small group support in and out of the classroom
Assist with the delivery of differentiated learning activities
Support pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural development
Help implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs/EHCP outcomes)
Work collaboratively with teachers, SEND staff, and external professionals
Promote a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Experience working with children or young people (SEND experience desirable)
A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach
Good communication and teamwork skills
A commitment to safeguarding and inclusion
Relevant qualifications or willingness to undertake training
